Criteria we are looking for:

-Background in Music
-Perform at scheduled events
-Tuba, euphonium, mellophone, and drum players do not need their own instruments; all others are required to have their own instruments
-Admitted to California State University, Long Beach
-Maintain a 2.00 grade point average
-Scholarships: Amounts vary and are dependent on the number of performances by each member.

Jeremy Chung is a graduate of the University of Southern California and earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education. He has been the pep band director at CSULB since the fall of 2002. He is also an instrumental music director in the Capistrano Unified School District. Under his direction, his instrumental music groups have received "superior" ratings at every music festival attended since 1997 and have won many competitions at local, state, and national events.

As a performer, he was a member of the world-renowned USC Trojan Marching Band and the Disney "All American College Band." He was also a member of Disneyland's "Trash Can Trio" percussion group. In 2000, Jeremy was given the "Apple Award" for his teaching and dedication to young musicians in Southern California. He currently is an active musician in Southern California as both a performer and clinician.
