 The Student Media Board represents the broad interests of the university community, to assist in the development and maintenance of strong, independent, and responsible vehicles for free expression. The Student Media Board shall insulate student media from political and budgetary constraints on the part of organized interest groups, and at the same time ensure that it remains accountable to the student body as a whole. Areas under the purview of the board shall include but not be limited to, editorial operations, broadcast operations, media development, capital improvements, and fundraising.
