Climbing 301: Learn to Lead

Description

Learn to Lead is a climbing skills class held from 1-3pm at the SRWC Rockwall. Instructors teach all the necessary skills for indoor lead climbing and belaying. These skills include proper gear checks, clipping into quickdraws, climber footwork, and lead-belay techniques. Skills taught in this class are pertinent to Rock and Outdoor Adventure’s lead belay certification test. This class is NOT a pre-requisite in order to take the lead test or to climb in a top-rope or bouldering fashion at the SRWC Rock Wall.

All participants in this class MUST BE TOP-ROPE CERTIFIED through the SRWC prior to the beginning of the class.
