The Beach Film Fest is coming to a close, but not before ending with a bang. USU Program Council, College Beat TV and the CSULB Film Department will be hosting the film festival’s grand finale at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 in the USU Beach Auditorium. Student work will be showcased and winners will be awarded!
“It’s always cool to see your film being screened for the student body—that’s a reward in itself,” said College Beat TV Chief Executive Producer Nicole Ilagan. The films being screened are all works submitted by students for the “Film in a Week” and Premade film competition.
In addition to the award presentation and screening of the film entries, there will be opportunities to take professional photos on the red carpet and plenty of free food to go around. “Students should come out and support the film community at CSULB,” said Ilagan. “There are a lot of us – from the film department to College Beat TV, come see what we’re creating!”
Having helped organize last year’s successful finale, Ilagan has high expectations for this year and she encourages all CSULB students to attend the finale. “You never know—the next winner may be the next Steven Spielberg,” said Ilagan.
