About the ASBO

The Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Business Office (ASBO), located in Peterson Hall 1 (PH1) 109, provides comprehensive financial and administrative services that support ASI programs, student organizations and the university community. Our Services

  • Student Organization and Grant Support – Financial services for student clubs, agency accounts and grant allocations in partnership with the Office of Student Life & Development (SLD). Includes account management, reconciliations and financial training.
  • Banking and Treasury – Management of daily cash flow, credit card programs, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), inter-account transfers, investments and sales tax reporting.
    • Student Banking Services – Acting as the bank for student clubs and organizations by safeguarding funds, paying bills, processing deposits and withdrawals, and providing reimbursements.
  • Bookkeeping, Accounting and Financial Reporting – Complete fiscal management, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for ASI & USU departments, programs and student organizations.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable – Processing invoices, reimbursements, payroll checks, vendor payments, deposits, Isabel Patterson Child Development Center (IPCDC) tuition billing and collections.
  • Isabel Patterson Child Development Center Support – Tuition billing, schedule adjustments, and quarterly reporting for state and federal grants.
  • Contract and Procurement Management – Maintaining a secure repository of contracts, overseeing vendor relations, issuing RFPs and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
  • Budget Development and Analysis – Annual budget planning in collaboration with ASI departments and student organizations, variance analysis and financial forecasting.
  • Quarterly Board Financial Reports – Preparation and presentation of quarterly financial reports to the ASI Board to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Audit, Compliance and Reporting – Supporting annual audits, preparing IRS Form 990, and ensuring adherence to GAAP, CSU and state regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Finance and Special Projects – Oversight of Future U financials, capital projects, facility financial meetings and long-term strategic planning.
  • Stamp Sales – Convenient sale of individual stamps at the Business Office.
  • Notary Services – Full-service notary available to the university community by appointment.
