The IPCDC’s Bright Future with Grant Proposal of $3.5 Million in Funding

ASI recognizes how vital the IPCDC is to the success of LBSU’s student parents. Through providing developmentally appropriate curriculum, socialization, and early development for our community’s youngest future, our student parents are given the time to focus on their studies. As the IPCDC’s focus has been on providing the highest quality of education and support to families for many years, the facility has aged, requiring necessary maintenance and modernization to ensure a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment. Through this grant, the IPCDC has a unique opportunity to make meaningful investments in the center that will improve quality and ensure sustainability into the future.

The IPCDC's planned improvements will encompass a comprehensive modernization of the physical environment, including replacement of the plumbing and irrigation systems, replacement of the play yards, upgrading the electrical panel and related electrical systems, replacing all Heating-Ventilation-Air-Conditioning (HVAC) units, and replacing all flooring. These improvements will go a long way in ensuring that the IPCDC continues to deliver exceptional care and support to those in need.

ASI is thrilled about the impact this grant will have on the IPCDC and our LBSU community. We understand how essential it is to provide young children with a nurturing and supporting environment that promotes proper growth all the while taking the burden and stress off of our student parents, allowing them to focus on their future. And by upgrading the IPCDC facilities, we’re demonstrating that our commitment is investing in the current AND next generation of scholars, leaders and community members.

We're so excited to see the positive changes that will come from this grant and to continue our work in shaping the next generation of young learners in our community. The IPCDC is a vital resource for our student parents, a model for high-quality early care and education, and part of the economic development ecosystem in our region. ASI is extremely grateful to Congressman Garcia for proposing this funding, and for his years of support and collaboration across ASI’s programs and facilities.
