Make everyday a brand-new start with at-home workouts! Replace sleeping in and getting up late with some productivity, movement and endorphins. And here’s how: find a workout plan, get your clothing ready the night before, set an alarm for 9 a.m. and motivate yourself with an upbeat playlist.

Here are some tips on how to start exercising at home. So get ready to read, learn, digest and adjust them to fit your daily life.

  1. Find a routine that fits you: Head over to the Student Recreation & Wellness Center Website for interactive and fun exercise videos to get you going. If you’re looking for everyday challenging and motivating workouts also go on YouTube and find an online trainer that fits your personal goals. Some YouTube trainers you might enjoy are Madfit, Body Project and Jeff Nippard.
  2. Find what motivates you: Do you like working out to uplifting beats or hardcore rap? Either way making a playlist if the best way to get yourself out of bed and into the exercising mentality. Using Spotify, Apple or iHeart Radio for playlists, podcasts and instrumental tunes is a must-do for all your gym needs.
  3. Make lasting daily habits: Simple practices like warming up and stretching prepare your mind and mind for the workout ahead of you. They make you inspired to kill a routine and build your endorphins which make you happy. Right after your exercise try adding a 10-minute cool down and watch as your body learns to naturally destress! Also, make sure you’re fueling your machine with nutrient-dense and delicious food that’ll build muscle and promote a strong lifestyle.
