Beach Pride Events is here to help! We’ve searched, tested and complied a go-to self-care list for when you need to take a moment to destress, step outside, or encourage your study groups to take a moment of fun before powering back into studying. Check out all resources at asicsulb.org/beachfront.

Study at the University Student Union (USU) with extended hours in the West Wing:

  • Saturday, Dec. 11: 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 12: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Monday, Dec. 13 to Friday, Dec. 17: 7 a.m. to 2 a.m.

USU Games Center special:
Take a break to unwind and go bowling. During finals week, enjoy one free shoe rental and bowling game.*
*Claim this special Monday through Thursday from 9 - 11 a.m. and 5 - 7 p.m.

Activities and food giveaway:
Visit the USU Center Courtyard each day of finals week for free entertainment and food. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. join us to grab some popcorn, fresh fruit, coffee, and snacks. Join us for relaxing craft activities, massages, hennas and so much more! Check out the full schedule of FREE activities below:

Monday, Dec. 13

  • All-day craft: DIY macramé art and coloring pages
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Custom caricature art
  • 3 p.m.: Food giveaway to the first 75 students

Tuesday, Dec. 14

  • All-day craft: Origami and galaxy jars
  • 10 a.m. to noon.: Henna
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Massage therapy
  • Noon to 2 p.m.: Calligraphy art
  • 3 p.m.: Food giveaway to the first 75 students

Wednesday, Dec. 15

  • All-day craft: Decorate mugs then make DIY hot chocolate packs
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Calligraphy art
  • 1 to 3 p.m.: Balloon Monsoon artist
  • 3 p.m.: Food giveaway to the first 75 students

Thursday, Dec. 16

  • All-day craft: Make holiday cards and bracelets
  • 10 a.m. to noon.: Balloon Monsoon artist
  • Noon to 2 p.m.: Henna
  • 3 p.m.: Food giveaway to the first 75 students

Friday, Dec. 17

  • All-day craft: Geometric canvas art painting
  • 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Custom caricature art

And visit the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) as well! We will be giving out free snacks throughout the day and hosting the following activities:

  • Monday, Dec. 13: Custom caricature art from 3 to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 14: Calligraphy art from 3 to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 15: Balloon Monsoon artist from 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 16: Henna from 3 to 5 p.m. and massage therapy from 5 - 7 p.m.
