Intern Queen To Hold Seminar for CSULB Students

Long Beach, Calif. - On Thursday, March 2, ASI Beach Pride Events will be hosting Intern Queen CEO Lauren Berger for "Land That Job," a seminar developed to equip and empower Cal State Long Beach students to acquire their dream job. Berger will be available from 4 to 5 p.m. for a VIP meet-and-greet and press conference with student media outlets. The event will take place immediately following the press conference from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the USU Long Beach Ballrooms.

"There are many professional opportunities on campus, but this one brings many ideas together to help students in one setting," said third year English major and event lead Kaila-Marie Hardaway. "Students will learn how to pursue their dreams through Lauren's own experience of doing the same."

Berger will give the keynote speech on obtaining a dream job, utilizing her job and internship expertise and experience to give tips. In addition to the speech, Berger will also lead students in a workshop where they can work with her one-on-one and in the larger group.

"Not only will there be great information, but 'Land That Job' will help students find and pursue what they want after graduation," said Hardaway. "Students don't seem to think about it until the last minute, so it's important to use these opportunities to succeed on and off campus alike."

Berger's career boasts a deep investment in the lives of young people. She founded Intern Queen Inc. in 2009 to help connect young people with their dream internships and jobs. She has also published a national best-selling book on job-search help and is currently set to release her second book in April.
