Filmmakers Wanted - Beach Film Fest 2016

The second annual Beach Film Fest is just around the corner, bringing with it exciting new opportunities for student filmmakers.

This year’s film festival consists of two separate filmmaking competitions for students. In addition to the “Film-In-A-Week” competition that will require students to film their projects within 10 days (March 11-21), this year’s event will also feature a “Pre-Made Film” competition, in which students can enter their projects that were filmed after Jan. 1, 2015.

“The competition is perfect for filmmakers that want to gain exposure as well as experience in taking their ideas to the big screen,” exclaimed USU program council assistant and event-organizer William Salazar.

Both competitions are open to current CSULB students and are awesome opportunities for aspiring filmmakers to showcase their talents to the greater campus community.

Applications and forms required to participate in the competitions are available on BeachSync and can be found here.

The finale screening and awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 21 in the USU Beach Auditorium, closing out the competition and honoring the best.
