Description
Join Sustain U for a student-focused, interactive workshop on overconsumption and how our shopping habits impact the planet.
In the 1970s, the average American saw about 500 ads a day — today, we’re exposed to as many as 5,000 ads per day. This session breaks down how constant advertising fuels overconsumption, why we’re driven to buy more than we need, and how to recognize the systems influencing our choices.
We’ll explore ways to combat overconsumption, identify sustainable alternatives and learn strategies to break harmful consumption habits.
Whether you’re a frequent shopper or simply curious about your own habits, this workshop will leave you ready to make more intentional, sustainable decisions.
RSVP now on Events & Orgs to be part of the change!
