Description

Join the department of Africana Studies and ASI in a commemoration of celebration, reflection and recommitment marking the 200th anniversary of the birthday of the legendary freedom fighter Nana Harriet Tubman.

The marking will stress the continuing relevance of her life, struggle and legacy with a panel engaging critical issues of our time including freedom, womanism, reparations and continuing resistance. The campus and community are warmly welcomed!
