The fashion industry is the second-largest polluter in the world. From impulsive shopping to cheap labor, we contribute to the causes of water and waste pollution in addition to greenhouse gases. Our willingness to change and spread awareness, however, will determine how fashion affects our future. In this workshop, students, staff and faculty will learn about the dangers of fast fashion such as water pollution and the clothing deficit myth. We will also discuss the purpose of fast fashion and how we can be part of the solution to reduce the industry's environmental impact.
