12/13/23 - Updates on in-depth student research proposals, upcoming cultural events and further details regarding the Beach Investment Group (BIG) partnership occurred during The ASI Business and Finance Committee meeting November 27.

12/13/23 - Students will be automatically enrolled in the Day One Textbook Access program beginning next Fall for instant access to all their required textbooks. The price for full time students will be $250 per semester and $165 per semester for part-time students.

12/12/23 - California State University’s new tuition increase will rise 6% yearly for the next five years, starting in the fall of the 2024–25 school year for all 23 CSU campuses. This was set in stone after the CSU Board of Trustees voted on the tuition increase on Sept. 13, despite many CSU students opposing it.

12/10/23 - In an effort to help students de-stress for finals week, Associated Students, Inc. hosted an event at the Beach Kitchen on Dec. 7 where students learned how to make lavender pancakes, lavender lemonade and bath salts and oils for easy treats and leisure.

12/08/23 - Actress, performer and philanthropist Lana Condor visited the Carpenter Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, Dec. 5, for “An Evening with Lana Condor.” This event was only open to current CSULB students and cost $10 to attend.

12/04/23 - Students gathered at the University Student Union on Friday, Dec. 1 to enjoy sweet treats from around the world.

12/02/23 - The Associated Students Inc. initiated discussions on Senate resolution #2024-10 during their Senate meeting Wednesday.

12/01/23 - Comic fans geeked out in costumes for a night filled with games, crafts and food.

11/13/23 - Beginning Fall 2024, CSULB will introduce the “Equitable Textbook Access” program, which will provide students with access to all their required textbooks at a flat rate of $250 for full-time students and $165 for part-time students per semester.

11/08/23 - To celebrate Mexican culture and honor their deceased loved ones, students decorated an altar, enjoyed traditional Mexican foods and participated in themed arts and crafts activities at a Dia de los Muertos event on campus.

11/05/23 - Major changes are slated to come to Long Beach State. The 2035 Campus Master Plan and Associated Students Inc.’s Future U Plan aim to bring renovations and improvements across CSULB to update the campus to modern standards. Some of the changes include updates to the Parkside Dorms, the University Student Union, the Bookstore and more.

The Trash Talkers workshop hosted by Associated Students Inc.’s Sustain U program involved interactive games for students to become aware of their environmental impact and discover ways to combat it.

Students learned how to make sweet and savory tamales during a hands-on cooking class with Chef Paul Blanco on Thursday.

As a part of the annual OUTober celebration, Associated Students Incorporated had planned on raising the LGBTQ+ Pride flag outside the University Student Union. While the flag was initially going to be raised on Oct. 2, the plans were scrapped on Sept. 18 with no publicly stated reason.
