Did you know Long Beach was recently ranked the top city in the U.S. when it comes to weather? That’s right folks, you go to school in the city with the nicest days per calendar year! With that information in-hand, we wanted to equip you with some great things to do before the end of September. Go Beach, and go Long Beach!

1. Relax at Rosie’s Dog Beach
Looking for a place to balance out your stress? Somewhere to unwind and clear your head? Even if you’re feeling fine, it’s never a bad idea to visit Rosie’s Dog Beach. The combination of soft waves and gleeful dogs galloping along the shoreline will surely brighten your day. Since 2003, this beach has been giving pets a place to run free while also allowing visitors to socialize and enjoy the sweet things in life. 2. Dinner and a View Aboard The Queen Mary
Start the school year with a bang! The historic Queen Mary offers beautiful views of Downtown Long Beach and its winding coastline. And if that weren’t enough, admission is complimentary with the purchase of a $10 Chowder House meal card. Feel free to roam the historic hallways lined with antique portholes as you make your way to the breathtaking observation deck. 3. Aquarium of the Pacific
Get to know your aquatic neighbors to the west at California’s second-largest aquarium located in the bustling Downtown Long Beach. This diverse exhibit features a variety of animals: frogs, penguins, sea otters, jellyfish, and the list goes on. 4. “Music Tastes Good” in the LBC
The annual Music Tastes Good festival is back and will be taking place at Marina Green Park on September 29 and 30. This two day event will feature more than 40 highly sought-after music performances, a curated culinary adventure and amazing company. 5. Museum of Latin American Art
Free admission every Sunday, why not? Since its inception in 1996, MOLAA has been a source of Latin American culture for visitors and residents of our beautiful city. Located in the constantly-evolving East Village, MOLAA has been a source of stability and community outreach that seeks to stimulate the intellect of their visitors and provide inspiration for those who need it most. 6. 2nd Street
2nd Street is one of the most well-known areas in Long Beach. It is rich, vibrant and packed with a cavalcade of world-famous murals. Dozens of unique restaurants line the sidewalks, providing visitors with food from cultures across the world. In the mood for sushi? Stop by Sushi on Fire. Craving Lebanese food? Open Sesame has you covered. I could go on forever, but you really need to go out there and see for yourself.
